Los Angeles Scots ready for 2016 World Pipe Band Championships

Last weekend the band had it's final practice weekend before departure to Scotland to compete at the 2016 World Pipe Band Championships in Glasgow, Scotland.  This will be the band's 21st trip to Scotland.  This year the band will be competing against 21 bands from Scotland, Ireland, Canada, New Zealand and France.  The band will be the lone competitor from the U.S.A.

This year will be a debut of our new lead drummer Molly Steuber!  Molly at the time of appointment would have been the only female lead drummer at the 2016 World's but the Vale appointed Lee Lawson soon after.

The band wants to thank it's sponsors for supporting the band over the years!  McCallum Bagpipes and Andante Percussion have been supporting the band for years and we now have a new Sponsor in Claymore Brogues!   Check us out in Scotland....we will have our new gillies on display!
